Recreational Power belt drive, exhaust mounts, and exhaust
systems for Quad City Challenger.
|
Recreational Power introduced the Hirth 3701, 3 cylinder two stroke
engine with oil injection at this years Sun N Fun. While the engine
has been available for over 2 years this was the first time that oil
injection has been made available for it.
In addition they have
also designed a muffler and mounting system for high wing pushers
such as the CGS Hawk.
Rec Power also now has
a belt reduction drive available for their engines as well at the
standard gear boxes. The cog belt system comes in 7 inch offset
standard version and a 10 1/2 inch offset which can be used on Quad
City Challenger aircraft.
Rather than using a
jack bolt for belt adjustment the drives uses an eccentric shaft. The system also uses a single roller bearing for
support on the one side of the pulley and a double row axial bearing
for carrying the thrust load on the other side.
Engine mounts for the
Quad City Challenger for fitting the Hirth 3202 and 3203 engines are
now also available from Recreational Power. |
