Savannah Manufacturer/Distributor
Skykits Corporation
Henry County Airport
1401 Diggs Road
Paris, TN
38242Skykits has recently
moved into their new 21,000 square foot facility at the
Henry County Airport in Tennessee. They have also introduced
their latest design the Savannah VG wide body, which has a 5
inch wider cabin, with 4 inches more of legroom.
It also features full view doors, a full skylite, a new ring
style engine mount, and a sleek streamlined nose cowl.
The Skykits Savannah is a short take of
and landing (STOL) aircraft, meaning that they can take off
and land from just about anywhere. |

Fitting the Savannah
with floats or amphib floats or ski's expands the landing
and take off capabilities even more.
This fun flying all metal, side by side
seating aircraft is capable of flying at both ends of the
speed range. The Savannah is very responsive slow speed,
making landing easy, even for the novice pilot, but also has
the ability to cruise along all day at 100 mph.
Savannah kits come complete with cowling,
motor mount, wheels and brakes, upholstery, flight
instruments, engine gauges, and wiring harness. They even
include a pneumatic rivet gun and a quart of anti-corrosion
compound.
All parts are laser-cut, CNC machined,
flanged and lightened. Savannah wing ribs are heat-treated
to hold their shape. All rivet holes are drilled to final
size. Meaning there are no parts to make or jigs to build.
Typical build time for a Savannah airframe is reported to be
about 225 hours. And because all rivet holes are laser cut
they are perfectly in line resulting in a beautifully
finished airframe. |
