Skyarrow back in production

Jon Hansen and his son's of Hansen Air Group have carved out several niche markets for themselves in the light sport aircraft market.

One of those has been that of working with Able Flight to help physically challenged individuals to learn how to fly. One of the aircraft that they have been using in this project has been the Sky Arrow, unfortunately the company producing the craft went out of business.

At Sun N Fun 2012 a press conference was called at the Hansen Aircraft booth to announce that Magnaghi Aeronautica S.p.A. has purchased the design rights to the Sky Arrow and would being production of a new version later this year.

A new version Sky Arrow is being redesigned and engineered, and will feature more fuel capacity and state of the art avionics. The Sky Arrow is a high wing, tandem seating two seat all composite aircraft, with dual controls. The rear seat is elevated, giving excellent visibility through see thru canopy.

The craft will be available as an experimental amateurbuilt, as well as a Light Sport Aircraft. With the addition of hand controls for rudder operation the plane can be flown by pilots who do not have the use of their legs.

Fk 12 Comet bi-plane now available with Lycoming Power!
Another niche market that Hansen Air Group has cornered is that of the tandem seating light

sport aircraft category bi-plane. Their entry into this market is the FK12 Comet, which features folding wings and two canopies. At Sun N Fun 2012 they had the first Lycoming 0-233 to be mounted on a Comet.

With the installation of the Lycoming the Fk 12 Comet is now able to perform aerobatic maneuvers, something it was not authorized to do when powered by the Rotax 912 series of engines.

The installation is being done by Doc Bailey of Renegade Light Sport aircraft. The first installation is expected to be completed within the next month or so . For more information contact:
