Light Sport Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit
into what are described as ultralight aircraft, advanced ultralight
aircraft,
light sport aircraft, experimental light sport aircraft, experimental
aircraft, amateur built aircraft, ELSA or homebuilt
aircraft in the United States and Canada. These include
weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,
powered parachutes, and powered para-gliders.

Tecnam has
been one of the leaders in light sport aircraft sales. At
Sun N Fun 2012 they introduced their newest model the P92TD.
A very sleek looking aircraft, all metal taildragger, with a
"retro style" look.
Pilots can power the Tecnam P92TD with either the Rotax 912
ULS 100 HP series of engines or Lycoming 0-233 which is also
100 HP.
According to Tecnam market research a large percentage of
light sport aircraft pilots want, an all metal side by side
seating taildragger. |

Pricing on the
P92TD ranges from $120,000 for a day-VFR version to $131,000
for a part glass/part analog, fully instrumented plane.
At Sun N Fun 2012 Tecnam also introduced a very unique
marketing plan for sale of their aircraft. For a limited
time they will be offering customers a discount of up to
$29,000.00 if they are the first purchaser of one of their
aircraft in their state. The catch is that the customer must
make his or her plane avaiable for a limited number of demo
flights.
