Gobosh LSA introduced the G700 at Airventure 2007.
The craft is
manufactured in Poland by Aero which has been involved in aviation for
over fifteen years. The G700 is the latest model based on a certified
aircraft that has been flying since 1999. The factory is currently in
the process of moving to a new purpose built 30,000 square foot
facility. The new facility is expected to be in full operation by
January 2008, currently the factory is able to produce 7 aircraft per
month. It is expected that the new facility will be able to keep up with
demand for the foreseeable future.
After the craft is completed in Poland it is shipped via container to
the U.S. On arrival it is unpacked, reassembled, and test flown for
approximately three hours before being delivered to the customer.
To fit the plane into the LSA category the company redesigned the
wing, wing tip, and "Americanized the panel." The G700 is a low wing,
side by seating two place, with dual stick, throttle and rudder
controls, manual flaps. Ground steering is via a castering nose wheel
and toe brakes. The main landing gear is steel with a rubber O ring
suspension system used on the nose wheel.
The G700 is produced on a certified aircraft production line using
solid aircraft rivets. The plane comes with a number of easily
accessible inspection doors for inspecting critical areas. The G700 is
supplied with a tow bar that mount in behind the seats, that also
doubles as a control system lock.
Power is supplied by the Rotax 912 S 100 HP aircraft engine. The
plane is equipped with an 18.5 gallon fuel tank which gives it a range
of approximately 400 nautical miles.
The factory reports a cruise speed
of 105 knots and a climb rate of over 1,000 feet per minute using the
supplied three blade L prop also produced in Poland.
As of the AOPA convention 2007 there are seven G700's registered as
lightsport aircraft in the U.S. |
